351 Kids!

The Brethren of Herndon Lodge in conjunction with the Fairfax and Fauquier Sheriff’s Departments processed 351 children under the CHIP initiative this Saturday at the Herndon Festival.

It was a wonderful day weatherwise for the Festival and for CHIP.  Brothers Varun, Marc Schultze, Rob Martin, and Howie Snowden assisted Brothers Bob Tagg and Joe Higgs at the Festival to help the Deputys process the ID cards.   A great side benefit was that some of the dads present inquired about the Lodge.

The underpinnings at opened the door for the Lodge to be present was our willingness to help with volunteers for the Festival.   This year Brother Schultze worked it out that we provided Marshals for the Festival fireworks on Thursday and Saturday nights.

A big THANK YOU to all that volunteered their time in support of the Herndon Festival activities.
