Congratulations to Brother Axel Alanis on receiving his Grand Lodge Diploma for Masonic proficiency. Bro. Axel returned all 3 of his catechisms in outstanding fashion. His Master Mason return was done before the District Instructor of Work at District School. He ignored the pressure and performed in great form. Well done Axel!

On Memorial Day, a Master Mason’s conferral was performed on Brother Brad Morrell. Making him Herndon’s youngest Master Mason (much to Brother Evin’s delight). Brother Brad treated those present with dinner before the degree. His family was on hand to meet and greet. Congratulations Brother Brad and welcome to the Fraternity.

Greetings Brethren:
The Temple is really shaping up. We started the month with a Temple clean up and repair day. The Bethel, DeMolay, Eastern Star, and many Brethren pitched in to clear out the storage and the kitchen areas, make repairs and paint in the Lodge room, and clean anything that was not moving. Pictures from the day’s work are posted on the Lodge website. Special thanks to Bros David Harrison, Brutus Cooper, Chris Pendleton, Rob Martin, Brian Coleman, Rob Worthington, Howie Snowdon, Bennett Corrado, and Jim Dietzel for your time and energy supporting this effort. Thank you to the OES for the new blinds in the Social Hall and Bailey room. We are not done quite yet. In the Lodge room, plans are underway to repair and paint the ceiling damage caused by an AC leak and to repair the wall cracks started by the 2011 earthquake.

The weather kept us indoors, but plenty of hard work was done to clean up and repair items around the Lodge. Thanks go out to the Jobies, DeMolay and Eastern Star for their support. Also to Brothers Bennett Corrado, Brutus Cooper, Chris Pendleton, David Harrison, Rob Martin, David Twigg, Rob Worthington, Jim Dietzel, Eric LeHew, and WO Harrison for their time, energy, and dedication to the Lodge.
Spring is in the air. One day soon the cold will break, the flowers will bloom, and the sun will warm us all.
To prepare for that, plan to to help on April 7 for the Temple clean up day. The Town will hold its pick up everything the following week so this provides us a grand opportunity to clean out, refresh, and renew.
Some have already started. The Eastern Star has replaced the curtains (hung in the Fellowship Hall in 1987) with new blinds. Thank you very much for this change!
Brother Rob Martin has taken charge of his area – cleaning and organizing the Tyler’s position. He even shined up the door knocker!
Bro David Harrison replaced the failed light at near the sidewalk – bringing light thru Masonry!
Crews will be working on the 7th both inside and outside the Lodge. Please come to lend a hand.
