“Drive-by” Canned Food Drive

Brothers Brett, Axel, and Michael accepting donations in the drive-by lane at Herndon Lodge

Brothers dropping off with Amy from the SLHS Pantry

Donations rolled in from Herndon Brothers, Herndon OES members, and Brothers from Freedom and Hamilton-Thompson Lodges as well.  Brothers Axel, Brett, and Micheal sported their Lodge masks to collect, sort, inventory, and deliver the donated goods.   Amy and the others at the SLHS Pantry were very excited and appreciative to receive a pickup truck load of food and other items to support the many people in need that accept the Pantry’s aide.

The donation by the numbers… 47 pounds of rice, 30 cans of soup, 124 packages of pasta, 93 cans of veggies, 55  toiletry items.    All together, 538 pounds of goods were donated to help others in need.

Thank you for your generous support and especially to the Brothers that manned the “drive-by” lane!

This coming Saturday morning (May 23), Herndon Lodge will be accepting non-perishable food donations for the benefit of The Pantry at South Lakes High School.

Please enter the Lodge parking lot via the Grace Street entrance and drive to the rear of the building where Masons will be standing by to accept your donation.  Operating hours are from 9AM until 11AM on May 23.

Thank you in advance for your support of this worthy charity!
