Brethren,

Spring has duly and truly arrived this time and looks like it’s staying.  April saw our dear Brother Carsie Bozeman lay up his working tools to join the Great Architect of the Universe. Thanks to Bro. Brian King for stepping up and performing the service for Bro. Carsie.  April also saw the installation of new officers for the Herndon Chapter of DeMolay.  Congratulations to Robert Chaney on becoming the new Master Councilor.

At our April Stated meeting, we had a fine program on Bro. George Washington from our LEO, RW Michael Pobat.  Also that evening, our DDGM, RW Carl Hampton Dunn, Jr., delivered the Hillman award we won under the guidance of Wor. Mauricio.  The month of May will be yet another busy time for our Lodge.  On our first Stated, the DeMolay will deliver their ‘Flower Talk’ in honor of Mother’s Day.  All brethren are encouraged to attend with their families to witness this beautiful program from our DeMolay.  We will also have another exceptional dinner provided by our stewards, assisted by our own resident chef.  We are planning on conducting two EA degrees on our Second Stated meeting.  The Town of Herndon will host their Herndon Festival on the 29th of May thru the 1st of June.  We will assist with marshaling for the fireworks on Thursday night, 29 May, and Saturday night, 31 May.  We are looking for volunteers to help out.  If interested, please contact either our Secretary, Bro Jim Butts, who is coordinating our efforts for the festival, or myself.  On Saturday, May 31st , we will also host our annual Child ID booth at the festival.

In June we will have our DEO, Wor. Jim Kraut visit and Bro Al Diplacedi will deliver a program in honor of St John’s Day.  We are also trying to coordinate a fun family outing to see the Potomac Nationals play baseball.  To keep up to date on a regular basis, see our website here or visit our Facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/groups/Herndon264/ Also, if you would like to receive an electronic copy of this trestleboard or keep in touch with our regular emails, send a note.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Tom Morrison, WM
