Brethren,

Happy New Year!

On behalf of the officers for 2014, I would like to thank you for allowing us the privilege to serve this great Lodge. We look forward to yet another productive Masonic year. I would like to especially thank Wor. Mauricio Carrasco for an outstanding year under his leadership.

The theme for this year is “Brotherly Love”. I would like to focus this year’s work on strengthening the bonds of brotherly love and affection between each of us and the other members of our Masonic family. I plan on having events and topics to include not only the Brethren of the Lodge but also our families. We are told the job of Masonry is to make men better. I want this to be about making us better husbands, fathers, members of the community as well as better Masons.

As usual, January will be a busy month. In addition to our usual two Stated meetings we will have a called meeting on Jan 27 to confer at least one FC degree. On Jan 15th we will also host the District Ritual School which will focus on the EA degree, catechism, and balloting. On the 18th there will be a Subordinate Lodge Officer Training session taught by the DEO Wor. Jim Kraut at Jay Market Lodge beginning at 8:30 AM. Finally there will be the annual District Leadership Conference at the Scottish Rite in Alexandria on the 25th starting at 8:30 AM.

On an administrative note, dues notices have gone out for 2014. If you have not already done so, please make your payment as soon as possible. When you remit your dues, remember to update your phone numbers and email address with our Secretary so we can keep a current listing in case we have to contact you.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Tom Morrison, WM
