Brethren,

Well, it’s been a cold start to 2014. We survived the polar vortex as well as the heat going out in the main Lodge room. Let’s hope the groundhog gets this winter over with! We had great fellowship at the District Leadership Conference on Jan 25th at the Alexandria Scottish Rite Temple where we met with the Grand Master, our District Deputy Grand Master, the Grand Line, and the Brothers from District 4 and the neighboring Districts.

February will be off to a fast start with the official visit of our DDGM, RW Carl Dunn, coming to our First Stated meeting. He has two more official visits closely behind ours. He will visit Acacia on Feb 6th and Henry on Feb 7th. Please come out and support our DDGM on his official visits. We will then confer 2 EA degrees this month on the two candidates that the cold kept us from initiating on our Second Stated.

We had a great FC degree on our called meeting. We had Brothers step up for the Deacons, Chaplain, and Junior Warden positions. We saw Wor. Mauricio receive in the East for the first time, an excellent job by our Junior Warden conferring the degree, and a special treat had RW W.O. Harrison performing the Senior Deacon’s lecture. Well done Brethren.

On a personal note, I’d like to thank everyone for your prayers, thoughts, and support this past month. Once again, you have proven we are the greatest fraternal organization in existence.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Tom Morrison, WM
