In conjunction with INOVA Blood Services, Herndon Lodge will be supporting the Brethren of Freedom Lodge who invite you to participate in the Blood Drive on May 4, 2013 to be held at the Lovettsville Game Club from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
This is an excellent opportunity to get out into the country, meet the brothers of Freedom Lodge 118, and support our own Lodge Blood program at the same time!
The donation of a single pint of blood can save the lives of five people. There is no substitute for donated blood. Donations are perishable and must be renewed constantly to ensure an adequate supply is available to support our community in times of need. Blood has to be there on the shelf ready to use if a disaster, an emergency surgery, or other unforeseen crisis occurs. It takes days of processing of donated blood in order to make it ready to use, and the only way to keep the blood supply ready is to donate whenever you can. Organizations like ours are major help in the effort to ensure that the blood supply is maintained.

That will help Inova plan for right amount of staffing and resources. Appointments are not required to participate, but we do need to know an approximate head count so that INOVA might plan the proper resources to quickly and safely collect the maximum number of donations possible.
Our Inova Blood Program group number is 7438. Pick up a card at the Lodge on your way into the Lodge Room, and carry it with you as a reminder to support our Blood Program.
Lovettsville is an easy drive out Route 7 to Route 9 west of Leesburg, and right onto Route 287 North to the Lovettsville Game Club.
