Brethren,

March was a good month.  We received the official visit of our DDGM, raised a new MM, and enjoyed a wonderful York Rite Night with a very educational program presented by the current Grand Scribe of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons in Virginia, Rt Ex Don McAndrews.   We also conducted a fraternal visit to Concord Lodge, where our own Bro Will Nutter presented a very interesting program about Light and Darkness. To make things even better, our LIW Rt. Wor. C. Richard Walk, was recognized by the District at Sinclair School – being awarded the prestigious Chalmers Robert Custard Award in recognition of his hard work and contributions for the preservation and perfection of Virginia’s ritual.  It made all of us very proud to see him recognized for something he so much deserved.   Congratulations, Brother Dick, and we look forward to see you back at Lodge!

April is now arriving, and with it, we hope the warm days will finally arrive.  It is going to be another good month.  The month will begin with a very important event, when on April 1st we will be receiving the official visit of our Grand Master MW Louis Kerford Campbell to Herndon Lodge.    Dinner will start earlier that night, beginning at 6:00pm to allow for presentations and introductions at the Social Hall.   Our youth groups will be in attendance.   At our second stated meeting on April 15th, we will have a special program presented by our own Wor Bro Rhey Solomon.  We also will have two called meetings to confer degrees this month, as indicated in the calendar below.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the efforts from several Brothers and members of our Masonic family for the various improvements currently taking place at our building.  The Lodge is looking good and will continue to improve in its appeal to welcome all Brothers and their families to our various events.   Come to check it out, share a cup of coffee, make yourself at home and participate.    Remember how good and how pleasant it is to see Brethren dwelling together in unity!

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Mauricio Carrasco, WM
