The Ladies Night event was a huge success with our lodge was packed to capacity! Many thanks to the Jobies and our lodge stewards (Bro. Morrison and Bro. Valker) in helping with the dinner arrangements. Kudos to the DeMolay for an outstanding program that night. I also want to congratulate Bro. Schultze on leading the Herndon Festival and to all the brethren who supported it. Many thanks to Bro. Tagg and Bro. Higgs for an outstanding job with the Child ID booth. We fingerprinted a total of 239 kids! I also want to recognize Bro. Martin for doing a stellar job with the blood drive. We had a total of 31 people who donated! Our second Stated Communication was dedicated to the Holy Saints John and kudos to WB Pobat, WB Walk, Bro. Martin, and Bro. Wood for putting on a great show. Lastly my hearty congratulations to our newest EAs and MMs for receiving their degrees.
July is another busy month. Our First Stated Communication on July 5 is dedicated to the "Fourth of July". WB Wade will make a short presentation on the District 4 Lodge Services Committee followed by a patriotic program by our LEO WB Gauger. We will make a fraternal visit to Ashburn-Sterling Lodge #288 on July 13. Degree practice is on July 15 at 6pm followed by the Beehive Club Meeting at 7:30pm. We will conduct degree work at our Second Stated Communication on July 19. Please attend this event to show your support for our candidates. The District 4 Ritual School is on July 21 at Henry Lodge #57 and Herndon is obligated to provide the Senior D. We will have another Degree practice session on July 22 at 6pm in preparation for a Called Communication for Degree Work on July 26 at 7pm. The Officers Meeting is on July 29 at 7pm.
Finally Brethren, I would like to sincerely thank Bro. Schreibstein for being our Webmaster all these years and congratulate Bro. TC Conway for taking over! Also a reminder that Worshipful S. Brent Morris (33° G.C. and author of "Complete Idiot’s Guide to Freemasonry") will be presenting a very interesting program in our Lodge on August 2. This program is open to everyone.
